Interactive Brokers uses Filtered Tick Data, Day Traders BEWARE

Hi guys,

I must say this a million times every week to my clients…

DO NOT USE Interactive Brokers for your Day Trading of Futures Contracts.

Yes, Interactive Brokers has connections for markets around the world, and trading stocks, Forex, and Futures “sounds’ great during the sales pitch….but then reality sets in…

– They use Filtered Tick Data

– They require you to log into your account twice, 1 for their online platform, and another for your charts.

– Margins and Fees are way too expensive compared to brokers we prefer to work with

The Bottom line….in my opinion…

– Filtered Tick Data = your Auto Trader wont take all the correct trades
– Filtered Tick Data = your Range & Tick Charts wont have the same data
– Filtered Tick data = Indicators fire off at the wrong times
– Filtered Tick data = nothing is REAL TIME

– 2 Account Logins:

When I was using IB it would always jam, and im sorry, but 2 connections are just 1 too many…whats wrong with 1 connection?

– Margins are way too high because you are literally taking on the risk from all the other traders using this HUGE broker to trade everything under the Sun.

If clients are trading EVERYTHING, they cant offer cheap fees for REAL traders.

We can do MUCH better for a broker.

In closing, the reality is simple…

If you are a serious trader you are focused on 1 thing at a time, so you DONT need to work with a huge broker like IB anyways.  Ive never met a real trader that trades Futures AND Stocks on the same account…think about…how many Super-Man traders are there?

If you are trading futures you are NOT getting the best resources from Interactive Brokers.
It is simply NOT designed with a day trader’s best interests in mind.

Contact our Support@SchoolOfTrade.com for more info on acceptable brokers.

Hope it helps!  JJ
